Family photo at Memory Grove July 2011.

I was so excited to post in July and then I went on Trek and shortly after found out I was pregnant! Needless to say I have not felt up to par these last 14 weeks. I am finally feeling better and thought I better blog a little. I am a few days away from finishing 3 online classes I am taking to recertify for my teaching license. This has been all consuming for the past 8 weeks but it's almost over!! I will most likely have to take one more class in the spring and then I will be done for another 3 years. I just went to my doctor appointment yesterday and everything looked good. I feel like I'm so much bigger than I should be by now. I guess that's what number 4 does for you! I'm enjoying preschool this year and hope that my second trimester will give me more energy for teaching. There is always soooo much to do around the house and get ready for preschool that I feel like I am failing miserably. I still can't believe that I am going to be a mother of four! Wow.

Yea! a new post!

Everett has the coolest job ever. Last week we took our friends, Kay and Jean, up to Upper Stillwater Dam in the Uintah Mountains. Because of the wet weather we are having they were spilling a lot of water over the dam. We went up to see the "waterfall" and boy was it gorgeous! It was just the perfect day for going. The weather kept changing and we had sunshine, rain, and lots of puffy clouds to look at. On the way back I was reminded of who was watching over us because a UPS almost hit us as he slowed down at a construction site. The road was covered in a fine dust from the workers and then it had rained a little bit and the result was a really slick roadway. He was coming from the other direction when he hit his brakes to stop but the truck didn't stop and he fished tailed for a long time down the road....almost hit us, almost hit 5 other cars, almost tip over several times, but miraculously ended up ride side up the side of the road where there was no construction at the time! It was very scary and something I'll never forget. Back to the dam. We did get a personal tour of it from one of the county workers. We got to go on top of the dam and look over the top! I was scared stiff but the kids and everyone else thought it was awesome! Here are a bunch of pictures from our day!

17 Miracles!

Check out my 17 Miracles countdown!!! So excited for the movie to come out!!!
It's about the Willie Martin handcart company. We are going on trek to Martin's cove this year and I'm so excited to see this film before that. My parents are extras in the film and my cousin is Albert in the film. The guy who made the film...T.C. Christensen...was my neighbor growing up. Everyone go see it!!!

Coming soon...summer and more time to blog

Sorry this is upside down...here is my cute boy at build a bear!

McKenzie is finishing up her Kindergarten skill book. She got into the French immersion progam at her elementary. That means next year at school she will spend half the day with a french teacher who only speaks french. By 6th grade she should be fluent in French! We are very excited for her and know she will do well!!!

My bundle of messes. Isn't she cute?

McKenzie with her friend Akazia who just moved. We are so bummed that they are so far away!

My little preschooler is excited for graduation but little does he know he is going to be in my class next year too!

Our new fireplace!!

I am beyond thrilled with our new fireplace. It took us a little time to get it done but the results were well worth the wait. We put it on the west wall of our family room. We have to wait three days to turn on the fireplace so the tile can set. The real bummer is that we just had arctic air blow in and the overnight low was about 0 degrees. It would be nice to kick on the fire, but I guess I can wait three more days.
I know what some of you probably think: that all we need to complete this wall is a new big flat screen T.V. but instead we will be putting our nice small box T.V. up there instead....maybe next year, I'm not holding my breath.

My big man!

I didn't get a picture in of my sweet Canyon
in the last post so I had to post about him...
He says some of the cutest, funniest things.
Just the other night he woke up and started
yelling at me that I was a mean mean mom.
When I asked why, he mumbled that I tried
to throw him out of a garbage truck. I told him
he was having a bad dream and that made him
even more mad. He insisted it was real and
that I really did it! I felt just terrible! Thank
goodness he didn't remember that the next
morning!
